Lions Information


What are Lions?

1. Women and men of any race, color, creed or occupation. All are welcome.
2. A group dedicated to community improvement and personal development.
3. A stimulus to community spirit.
4. A group that will readily accept the challenge of difficult community projects.
5. World's largest service organization.. over 1.4 million members.
6. International scope--members in 180 countries.
7. Recognized as an organization, which develops community leaders as an organization, which develops community leaders through constructive action.

The Lions are not:

1. A Chamber of Commerce (although they may work together).
2. A political organization.
3. Restricted on types of projects, nor required to conduct specific ones.
4. An eat, meet, and go home club.
5. A business group, a fraternity, or special interest group for any selfish motive.

What do you get from being a Lion?
